Building collaboration capability case stories
The client : Reuters
The challenge :
To improve the effectiveness of the Enterprise Architects by enabling them to recognise when a more collaborative approach to internal and external working would be more appropriate.
The approach :
A collaboration pilot programme was designed and implemented over a one month period within the Chief Architecture Office. The aim of the pilot was to seed core collaboration understanding and expertise in three geographic centres; London, New York and Singapore.
Workshops were run to highlight the key collaborative attitudes, behaviours and conditions. In addition, working groups in the three locations collaborated together on a real, live business challenge applying their new skills and trialing various collaborative processes, methods and tools.
The impact :
At the end of the pilot the CAO team was able to identify collaboration best practice across three regions in terms of behaviours, processes, techniques and tools. They also benefitted by creating a new strategy and direction for a key challenge that the team were facing.
